Winter Classic Jerseys

Tonight's 8:30 game versus Chicago brings the unveiling of the Wings' and Blackhawks' "one time only" jerseys. Or is it previously used jerseys? See, I've heard about five different things - from Detroit media and national media - about what is going to be unveiled tonight during the first intermission. The most common whisper is they'll be completely new jerseys - and the Wings' will supposedly be sporting one giant old English 'D' on the chest. I have yet to hear a new style for the 'Hawks. The other end of rumors suggests the Wings will wear their throwback jerseys that sport a bunch of horizontal stripes and "Detroit" across the chest, where as the Blackhawks will wear a former third jersey, black with their standard logo. Lame?

Either way... this will be the first Wings game I miss this season. Of course, when something with the potential to be cool is unveiled, right? But, I'm not too sad. It's the Griffins' season opener!! Hooray for rink-side seats right behind the attack zone! Section 102, Row A, seats 1, 2, and 3... yeah baby! I could totally end up in pictures from goals. I am so going to be checking every site with AHL photos to see... But I'll probably look crazy if I do. Because I am highly animated in facial expressions... and arm actions...

I might even pull a "Leafs kid" on a Bulldogs player if they make me mad enough...

Okay, really not likely. They'd have to injure one of the Griffins pretty dang bad to bring out that kind of action...

(And just for laughs I should tell you... that Leafs kid does a good job of picking out a player I tend to do the same thing towards. Andreas Lilja and I are not usually buddies... he makes too many turnovers. I'm not a pastry person.)
